TEAM

Lee Barber

Stud Manager

Lee is in charge of running the yard and overseeing the estate team to ensure the welfare of all the horses on the estate.

He has always had a passion for Thoroughbreds and horse racing and started his career working for the late Geoff Hubbard from the age of 15. He also worked under numerous other trainers including Chris Kinane, Ferdy Murphy, and John Supple as well as being a conditional jockey for Geoff and riding out for James Fanshawe and Mark Tompkins amongst many other Newmarket trainers.

Lee has been the Stud Manager in the large busy, privately owned yard of Easton Park Stud for over 15 years. He has vast experience in Thoroughbred breeding and foaling programmes, as well as managing, breaking and prepping Youngstock for either the foal sales or as yearlings, for the Tattersall Sales.

Lee will also do breaking or pre training for any horses that need to be prepared to go back into training after yard rest, or who are going into training for the first time.

Helen Barber

Assistant Stud Manager

Helen is Lee’s wife and works alongside him on the yard.

Helen’s career has followed a similar path to Lee’s also working for the late Geoff Hubbard after her stint at the British Racing School. She too worked under numerous trainers including Chris Kinane, Ferdy Murphy, and John Supple. Helen then went on to work for several smaller private yards, on their breeding programmes, before she joined Lee working alongside him back at Easton Park Stud and now Martley Hall Stud.
